We always have a friendly greeting for you and a crunchy treat for your
friend. Our receptionists would like to say, “Hello!
MARY
Mary began her career as a receptionist at Southtowns Animal Hospital in
March of 2001. She
enjoys interacting with the pets and owners who come to the hospital, and when
she isn’t too busy she can be found in the reception area getting acquainted
with the new puppies and kittens. Mary always knows where to get a treat. Mary
and her husband Walt have two daughters, both of whom are animal lovers, and
recently her first grandchild. Amy and
her husband Eric live in Rochester and volunteer weekly at their local animal
shelter. They have two dogs, Lucky and Baby, Her other daughter, Kathy, has a
dog named Jack. Mary recently said goodbye to her beloved Golden
Retriever, "Molson".
SHANNON
Shannon lives in Franklinville with her husband Jason, her daughter
Madison, and the newest member of the family baby Ashlyn. In addition to
farm animals, Shannon shares her home with an extremely happy boxer, technically
named Axl Rose, but better known to those who love him as "Nugget" or "Nug".
Nug spends his days guarding the bed, being extremely flatulent, and providing a
wonderful living jungle gym for the kitties. The number one kitty, who is a
rambunctious orange beastie, has been christened "Evil Kenevil Nemo".
The last, but not least, resident pet at this time, is "Yoda", a very lovable
pug, who came from the West Seneca Dog Warden. Shannon has been here at
Southtowns Animal Hospital since April Fool’s Day, 2000, and she loves to meet
everyone’s pets. She is especially interested in reptiles and "Pocket Pets", so
feel free to ask her any questions.
ANGELA
Angela lives with her fiancée, Rob, and her "kids" (pets). She has 3
dogs, "Roslyn" (beagle), "Frosty" (black lab), and "Pepper" (pointer mix), who
she loves dearly, as well as 2 cats, "Momma" and "Kiwi", and two ferrets,
"April" and "May".
She loves animals very much and enjoys seeing them everyday at work.
It's fun for her to see the variety of animals that come in. Her all time
favorite dog is a harlequin Great Dane which she hopes to own one day. One
of her favorite hobbies is horseback riding for relaxation and exercise.
TRACY
Tracy has been a receptionist at the hospital for a year now. She
decided to wind down her pet sitting business due to rising gas prices and
wanted to work with people again, as pet sitting can be very isolating.
Her two cats, "Little" and "Sweetpea", keep her amused and baffled. Her
hobbies include gardening, cycling, and still the occasional pet sitting.
